AN electrical fault is being blamed for a fire at a house in Whitefield late last night.
Fire crews were called to Dudley Avenue at 11.30pm.
The fire started in the electric meter, which was destroyed in the blaze.
Crews said there was minor damage to the rest of the property.
Firefighters fitted smoke alarms at the property before they left.
