THIS week’s delve into the picture archives at The Bolton News has unearthed this photograph of the Our Lady of Lourdes Junior School team from June 1994.
The information accompanying the picture says the team from the Farnworth school were celebrating two trophies having won the inter-school trophy for Catholic schools in the Bolton area and the Farnworth Shield for teams from junior schools in the town.

THE second photograph features a Silcoms (Woodside) FC line-up from October 1980.
The only information with the picture says the team were managed by J Wallwork and played in Bolton Combination's Division One.
