GREENMOUNT'S annual village party is set to return next month.
Final plans for the event, which will take place around the village on Monday, May 6, are being put in place.
There will be dozens of stalls selling items including plants and cakes, while a host of activities will be taking place around the village, including an art exhibition at the Greenmount United Reformed Church, a collector's fair at Greenmount Old School, and a BBQ at the cricket club.
The event, now in its ninth year, will take place from 1.30pm-4.30pm.
While the party takes place, Brandlesholme Road will be closed from the doctor's surgery down to Vernon Road from about 11am.
The event is being organised by Greenmount Village Community with all funds going towards the group's work.
The group's chairman Alistair Waddell said: "We are looking forward to it and hope the weather is good. This is the ninth year we have held this which is some going."
Donations are being accepted for items to sell on the stalls, while tombola prizes can be delivered to Jon Simon estate agents in Holcombe Road, before the day.
