A HOUSEBUILDING team is celebrating after achieving a Five Star customer satisfaction rating for a record 14th year in a row.

The accolade, awarded to McCarthy and Stone’s Greater Manchester team by the Home Builders Federation (HBF), is the highest a new homes developer can achieve.

McCarthy and Stone is one of the UK's leading retirement community developer and manager, and their Greater Manchester team was behind the Broadfield Court complex in Parkview Road, Prestwich.

The firm is the only housebuilder to pick up a Five Star rating — awarded when nine out of 10 customers would recommend to a friend — for this number of consecutive years, which is every year the annual HBF survey has run.

Broadfield Court was among the developments which received a 100 per cent customer satisfaction score from homeowners.

Fiona Brooks, regional sales and marketing director for McCarthy and Stone North West, said: “Five-star service is an integral part of our culture and we are continually striving to improve, with an absolute commitment to delivering the very best products and services for our customers. We are therefore delighted to receive this Five Star award from the HBF for an unprecedented 14th year in a row.

“Our long-term vision is to continue developing retirement communities that enrich the quality of life of our customers and their families, while also creating even deeper and longer relationships with all those who choose to downsize to a McCarthy and Stone development."

Stewart Baseley, executive chairman of the Home Builders Federation, said: “Getting a positive endorsement from the people who buy and live in the homes they build has to be the number one priority for a successful home builder. A five-star rating demonstrates quite clearly that the processes and culture put in place to achieve this are being implemented effectively across the business. Delivering such high levels of customer satisfaction should provide customers with real confidence in the company and the homes that they build.”
