BLACKBURN band The Illicits have announced their first headline tour with tickets going on sale on Friday.
The indie quartet who recently signed to Alan McGee's Creation 23 label are creating a major buzz in the music world.
Before they even released a single the band have played a sold-out a hometown show at Blackburn’s Electric Church, appeared and performed on TV show Soccer AM, and sold out their biggest performance to date at The Grand in Clitheroe at the end of the month in less than 48 hours.
They have also been given support slots for both the DMA's and The Zutons.
Now the band - George Richards (vocals), Brad Hayes (lead guitar), Joe Mitchell (bass) and Matt Cottam (drums) - have released details of their Post Industrial Summer tour which opens at Yes in Manchester on May 14 and visits Leeds, Scunthorpe, Blackpool and Doncaster before ending at the Continental in Preston on Saturday, August 24.
Their single In What World is out on Saturday, May 18.
Tickets for the tour go on sale at 10am this Friday from www.gigsandtours.com and www.ticketmaster.co.uk
