A TOTTINGTON post office is set to shut this summer.
Leemans Hill Post Office, in Bury Road, will close after owner Nigel Coakley decided to sell up.
He blamed the fall in the number of people using post offices for the closure.
Customers have already been informed of the news and it is hoped that the service can be transferred to a shop in the area.
Mr Coakley said: "It is just too quiet. People do not use post offices anymore for a whole host of reasons, so it is no longer worth my while.
"I want to thank all my customers for their support over the last 15 years."
Mr Coakley said he is still awaiting a precise date for when the post office would shut, but expects it to be within the next three to four months.
It will then be incorporated into the adjoining house which Mr Coakley lives in.
