FORGET clowns, candyfloss and family fun, this big top, promising "flesh and filth", is for adults only.

Cirque du Vulgar, a risque over-18s circus event, is heading to Bury for a one-night-only pageant of nudity, naughtiness and debauchery.

Among the big top's X-rated attractions are a drunken whore, nail-biting acrobatics, and a fearsome high flying Dominatrix.

Joining them for a no-holds-barred thrill ride are a fire-breathing pyromaniac, alluring hula hoops, sexy strong men and much more.

Rosie Clarke, a circus spokesman, said: “You’ve never seen anything like Cirque du Vulgar before. We wanted to tear up the rule book and create a show which was refreshing, enticing, and aimed at a whole new audience.

“There were over a hundred people on the waiting list who were unable to get tickets to our first show. We just had to come back for more."

Cirque du Vulgar pitches up at Burrs Country Park on May 18 following a sell out show in Manchester earlier this year.

Throughout the evening daring circus-goers will be entertained by outrageous comedy duo Frank and Beans — the former sure to split sides with his foul-mouthed belly-laughs, the latter an eyebrow singeing pyromaniac with penchant for stuffed rabbits.

Nudity and naughtiness are also the order of the day at Curque du Vulgar, with plenty of men bearing all, plus teasing topless feather dancers "The Vulgarettes", and a scantily-clad aerial gymnast pulled dripping wet from a bath by her wrists.

But the weird and wonderful does not end there as the big top boasts upside down hunks in trunks, mind-bending pole dancing, sequinned nipple tassels, the ‘Only Gay in the Circus’, a ukulele, champagne on ice, and plenty of those trousers which rip off at the Velcro seams.

Audiences will have no escape from the adrenaline pumping antics as the big tops ensemble leap out to dance in the aisles, and hit metal chains to a cacophony of pulsing music.

Then in a jaw-dropping finale two chiselled acrobats star in a terrifying Wheel of Death, rotating high in the air while they jump and skip across the abyss.

The Bury show starts at 8.30pm and doors are open from 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced £15 for tiered seating or £25 for the VIP package — including ringside tables with service from the Vulgar characters and a free drink.
