RUNNERS of all abilities and ages will be taking part in a 10k run through one of Bolton's most popular picturesque beauty spots.
North Bolton Runners, which is a free running group, is staging the fundraising run through Jumbles Country Park and past the historic Turton Tower.
Money raised will go towards supporting the group, which has grown in numbers, so they continue to enjoy free weekly runs under the eye of trained leaders.
North Bolton Runners was set up last year for people of all ages and abilities to experience the fun, as well as they mental and physical benefits, of running.
The group runs three times a week — Monday to Wednesday — and puts on trails of different lengths to suit all abilities in and around the Bromley Cross, Egerton and Turton.
Runs include couch to 5k, four mile group, six mile group and improving 5k to 10k.
The run takes place on Saturday. It is being sponsored by Crofters.
There will be cash prizes of £50, £30 and £20 for first, second and third places for both men and women.
