A TOTAL of four planning developments will be discussed by councillors at a committee meeting on Tuesday.

In Ramsbottom, final plans for 35 homes could be passed and a listed barn could be converted into a yoga and leisure space.

A new all-weather 3G pitch at Elton High School could also be given the go ahead.

Elsewhere in Elton, plans to build two four-bedroom homes in the car park of a former pub could be approved.

The public meeting takes place at the town hall at 7pm. Here are the planning applications that will be discussed.

Barn conversion for domestic leisure use in Pot Green and Summerseat Lane, Ramsbottom

Plans to convert a listed barn and piggery to be used for yoga and leisure would see a glass link build between the two buildings.

The proposal involves rebuilding the back wall of the piggery, removing one cattle stall and creating a glazed link.

The building would be used as "ancillary living accommodation" and not used as a business.

But one neighbour raised concerns that additional visitors to the premises would create traffic and parking problems.

35 houses off Manchester Road, Ramsbottom

Developers Eccleston Homes have drawn up the plans for the homes on land between Peel Brow and Bury New Road.

The development would comprise a range of three, four and five-bedroom homes with associated roads, parking and gardens.

In 2016, Bury Council granted the Florence Nuttall Trust outline planning permission to build 50 homes on the site.

Dozens of objections have been lodged against the latest plans, most of which are from residents living nearby.

Letters continued to pour in after objectors were notified of revised plans on March 11.

Artificial grass pitch at Elton High School, Walshaw Road

A new all-weather 3G pitch could be installed at the school which has experienced problems with drainage on the site.

Sports playing pitches are unusable for approximately nine months of the year, according to the school.

The school is vying for a £25,000 grant to help make their plans for a £700,000 3G pitch a reality.

Together with the local authority, it will contribute capital funding for the project and look to raise the money through small grant applications and fundraising events.

Once funding is in place, the work can commence as long as the plans are approved on Tuesday

Two semi-detached houses off Green Street in Elton

The car park of a former pub could be used for two four-bedroom properties in a cul-de-sac off Tottington Road.

The Globe pub is currently being converted into two residential units with an office in part of the ground floor.

The dwellings would be two-storey buildings with a rear dormer for a room in the roof space.

Each property would have its own access off Green Street which would lead to a driveway for two cars and a single garage.

A total of six letters have been received from the occupiers of Green Street raising a number of concerns.
