TWO years on from the Manchester Arena Attack two mums have have paid poignant tribute on the steps of Bolton Town Hall.

Lyndsey Taylor and Jenny Kilgraff from the Pebbleart Rocks, Bolton/Bury Facebook group set up a community art stall today to remember the 22 people killed in the attack in 2017.

Ms Kilgraff said: "We brought 22 pebbles with the names of the victims on and we're asking people to make more pebbles to add to the line."

The pair's table is filled with pebbles for the public, envelopes of wildflower seeds and marker pens.

They had members of the public, adults and children alike, stopping to pick up a pebble before adding it to the line on the town hall steps.

Pebbleart Rocks took part in a similar countrywide event last year on the first anniversary that culminated in 1,000 pebbles being delivered to St Ann's Square in Manchester.

However, out of respect for the families affected they are marking the event in a smaller way this year.

At the end of the day (4.30pm) the pair said they will invite members of the public to hide the pebbles in parks around Bolton or take them further afield to be found.

They will hide any remaining pebbles themselves.

This afternoon at St Ann's Church in Manchester a private service is being held for the families affected by the tragedy.

Manchester Cathedral is open for quiet reflection throughout the day. At 10.31pm bells around Manchester will ring out, the exact anniversary of the attack.
