SINGER songwriter Sam Fender has pulled out of playing at Neighbourhood Weekender today, Sunday.
The North Shields artist tweeted he had been 'trying to battle through it' but his vocal chords were in 'bad shape'.
He added: "Doctor's orders are to take a couple of week’s vocal rest.
"So sorry to all of you at @nbhdweekender today and @allpointseastuk but I won’t be able to perform Love you all, Sam."
The Play God singer had performed at Radio One's Big Weekend the previous day.
Stage times for Stage 2 have now been changed.
