BUDDING singer/songwriters and performers are being invited to take part in an "open mic night" at Heaton Sports and Cricket Club in Bolton.
The monthly event is being launched on Monday (June 24) at the Lower Pools, Church Road club house, starting at 8.30pm.
It is being hosted by Bolton singer/songwriter Nick Jackson, who has been active on the music scene in the North West and in Europe - particularly Rome - for 25 years.
He said: "The night is for anyone who wants to perform their own songs or cover versions in public and who may aspire one day to do gigs in their own right, or even seasoned professionals who fancy participating in an informal night where we can all entertain each other and exchange ideas.
"The aim is to give everyone a fair crack of the whip and provide some entertainment for the local community early in the week. Everyone is welcome."
