AN eight-year-old’s sticker design will be proudly worn by officers on Armed Forces Day.
More than 850 primary school children around Bolton sent in entries for the competition to design a special sticker for the day, which takes place this Saturday.
Hardy Mill School pupil Jessica Griffiths, 8, designed the winning sticker, which features a Union Jack in the shape of a heart, with the words ‘Thank you to all who served’ above it. She was awarded a certificate by Bolton Superintendent Rick Jackson at Hardy Mill School on Thursday afternoon.
The runners-up were Teegan Burrows and Leanne Fairless, both 11, of Tonge Moor Primary.
