CHILDREN can enjoy fun-packed activities and unforgettable experiences this summer.

Bolton Council has announced its Summer Fun programme for 2019, offering a wide range of free activities for 4 to 17-year-olds throughout July and August.

Held at youth clubs and parks across the borough, young people will enjoy crafts, sport, games, cookery and much more.

Staff from the council’s Play and Youth Service will also bring the fun directly to communities with their mobile fleet.

The team has years of experience helping children and young people to plan and take part in amazing experiences.

They deliver sessions and activities all year round but always goes that extra mile to put on a packed schedule over the summer holidays.

This year’s highlights will include the annual Play Day event in Victoria Square on August 7 and an International Youth Day event at the Castle Hill Young People’s Centre on August 17.

Bolton Council’s Executive Cabinet Member of Children’s Services, Cllr Christine Wild, said:“Whatever the weather this summer, local children and young people can be sure of a good time thanks this fantastic programme of events.

“Young people will have the chance to make new friends, try something new and learn new skills, all while having a really fun summer holiday.

“With so much variety on offer, there is sure to be something to suit everyone.”
