A PRIDE Day at a Horwich nursing home was such a success it is set to become an annual event.
Residents, their families and staff at Hazelbrook Christian Nursing Home enjoyed its first LGBT+day.
Manager Alison Harvey said: " We felt holding a Pride event in our home made a strong statement of acceptance and equality, and will hopefully help ensure that residents, their family, visitors and staff who are LGBT+ feel accepted and welcome at Hazelbrook.
"The event went better than ever expected, and we are going to make it an annual event within the home. It provided interesting conversations between staff, residents and their families. Conversation of which we have never previously had, with many sharing that they had friends and relatives within the LGBT+ community and their struggles at time in an era when people where not so accepting."
