A MAN has been jailed for 46 weeks after he assaulted a police officer and a woman, damaged her possessions and contacted her in breach of a restraining order. Manchester magistrates heard that there were children present when Josh Eatock, aged 28, of Teggwood View, Bury, committed the offences on July 15. He was also ordered to pay £122 in costs and charges.

A MAN has been ordered to pay £200 in compensation after he damaged a police van in Bury on July 17. Adam Ellis, aged 33, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to committing the offence when he appeared before Manchester magistrates.

A TEENAGER has been fined £120 after he was caught driving a Seat Ibiza in Whitefield without a licence or insurance on May 4. The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty when he appeared at Manchester Youth Court. He was also ordered to pay £105 in costs and charges and was banned from apply for a driving licence for three months.

MAGISTRATES have fined a man £235 after he was caught in possession of cannabis in Bury on September 17. Mark Hewlett, aged 41, of Roch Crescent, Whitefield, pleaded guilty to committing the offence and was also ordered to pay £115 in costs and charges.

A MAN has been fined £120 after he admitted damaging a woman's window on May 11. At Manchester Magistrates' Court Carl Freeman, aged 51, of George Road, Ramsbottom, pleaded guilty to committing the offence. He was also ordered to pay his victim £200 in compensation and £105 in costs and charges.

A THIEF who stole installation board worth £700 from a construction company has been fined by Manchester Magistrates. Ryan Parker, aged 32, of Deal Street, Bury, pleaded guilty to stealing the material from Lovells Construction on June 16. Parker was fined £400 plus £125 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to have treatment for drug addiction after he admitted possessing cannabis on August 22. Mohammad Asif, aged 23, of Kenmore Road, Whitefield, was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months and must participate in 10 days of rehabilitation activities. He was also ordered to pay £170 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have fined a man £308 after he pleaded guilty to telephoning a woman on October 31 in breach of a restraining order. Mark Lowe, aged 34, of Coronation Gardens, Radcliffe, was also ordered to pay £115 in costs and charges.

A MAN has been fined after his Fiat car was found to have no vehicle tax. At Manchester Magistrates' Court Mohammed Fozdar, aged 22, of Hamilton Road, Prestwich, pleaded guilty to committing the offence. He was also ordered to pay £85 towards prosecution costs and £11.67 in back duty.

A TEENAGER has been sentenced to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work after he was caught possessing cannabis. At Manchester Magistrates' Court Dominic Dilger, aged 19, of Glenboro Avenue, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on August 22. He must also pay £170 in costs and charges.
