A WOMAN who damaged a man’s window has been ordered to pay him £250 in compensation. At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Nicola Hirst, aged 32, of Garston Street, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on August 5. The court also made a restraining order banning her from contacting her victim.

A DRINK driver has been banned from the roads for 17 months by magistrates. Jordan McGuinness, aged 25, of Sandiford Row, Radcliffe, pleaded guilty to committing the offence while driving a Ford Focus on Comall Street, Bury, on July 22. He was fined £425 plus £28 in costs and charges.

A MAN who illegally used a disabled person’s blue parking badge has been fined £40 by Manchester magistrates. Lee Atktinson, of Millwood Court, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on November 19. He was also ordered to pay £160 in costs and charges.

A PENSIONER who assaulted a police officer has been fined £120 by Manchester magistrates. Irene Gomm, aged 67, of Woodroyd Drive, Topping Fold, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on July 4. She was also ordered to pay £175 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have fined a motorist for having an illegal number plate and using a mobile phone while driving a Mercedes on Hampson Mill Lane, Bury, on November 21 last year. Javed Akram, aged 41, of Ringley Road, Whitefield, admitted having incorrect spacing between the numbers and letters on the number plate. He denied using the mobile phone but was found guilty.

He was banned from driving for six months, was fined £295 and was ordered to pay £180 in costs and charges.

A TEENAGER has been fined £660 after he was caught driving a car without a licence or insurance. At Wigan Magistrates' Court the case against Marian Cobak, aged 18, of Cedar Street, Bury, was proved. Magistrates heard how he drove a Ford Focus on Wellington Road, Bury, on February 22. In addition to the fine, eight penalty points were added and he was ordered to pay £151 in costs and charges.

A MAN found guilty of stalking a woman has been ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work. Stewart Mirfin, aged 38, of Bury Old Road, Prestwich, had denied committing the offence between April 30 and May 7 by sending his victim messages and making phone calls, but was convicted by Manchester magistrates. He had pleaded guilty to assaulting her. In addition to the unpaid work, Mirfin was ordered to participate in 25 days of rehabilitation activities, pay £485 in costs and charges and a restraining order was made banning him from contacting his victim or going to Glenboro Avenue, Bury.
