AN Ashton man charged with several firearms offences was appearing in court today (Friday, August 16.
Clive Wallace, 31, of Bakery Court, has been charged with the following offences:
Possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence; two counts of possession of a firearm when prohibited for life; violent disorder; possession of a section 5 firearm; possession of a bladed article; two counts of driving whilst disqualified and two counts of driving without insurance.
He was appearing at Manchester Magistrates Court.
The charges relate to a disturbance around 5am on Sunday, July 14 on Broughton Street and Cheetwood Road in Cheetham Hill where several people were injured. Police found evidence of a firearms discharge at the scene.
The charges also relate to a handgun found at an address in Oldham following a warrant executed by officers on Friday 26 July 2019.
