A MUM who has been diagnosed with incurable cancer is being supported by family and friends who have said they will do 'all they can' to make her final dreams come true.

Nadia Scott, from Great Harwood, was found to have an aggressive stage four glioma brain tumour when she was rushed to hospital after collapsing in July.

The 32-year-old, who is mum to Madison, 12, has since undergone open-brain surgery and is preparing for six weeks of intensive radio and chemotherapy in the hope of prolonging her life.

But despite the treatment, doctors have warned the support worker to make the most of the time she has left with family and friends while she still can.

Speaking to the Lancashire Telegraph, Nadia’s cousin Lindsay Scott, who has organised a bucket list fundraising page, said the diagnosis had left the whole family in shock and disbelief.

She said: “We still can’t believe it, we are all utterly devastated. No one ever thinks that a situation like this will hit so close to home, but it has and our world has been shattered.

“We now need to make the most of the time we have left and we need to focus on making as many magical memories as possible for us all and Madison.

Along with another cousin, Wendy, Lindsay has set up a donations page in a bid to help fund some of the items on Nadia’s bucket list and to save some money to secure a future for Madison.

She said: “The first thing Nadia mentioned was wanting a big party. She’s never had a do before so she has specifically asked for a surprise party with all of her friends and family.

“She wants a big cake, a prom dress, live music and horse-drawn carriage to bring her to the venue. She’s given us those details but we are organising the rest as a surprise for her.”

Among other things, the mum-of-one also dreams of owning a pair of diamond earrings she can leave for Madison and wants nothing more than to attend the sold-out Lewis Capaldi concert in Manchester.

Lindsay said: “She loves Lewis Capaldi and we are trying to do everything we can to get her tickets to that gig. It is sold out now and the tickets on resale cost around £900, so it is looking unlikely but we will continue trying.”

Nadia's cousins are also working hard to arrange a trip to Disney Land Paris for Nadia and Madison.

Work colleagues Kenya Latima, Fiona High and Emma-Louise Payne are also helping out by arranging a raffle, with all proceeds going towards Nadia’s cause.

Lindsay said: “The community have been amazing. Nadia is so overwhelmed by the number of people who have donated prizes for the raffle, and who have donated to the page.

“She actually said to me ‘I had no idea I was this loved.’

“Now we just need to make sure that we can fill Nadia’s final time with us with as many happy memories as physically possible.”

All funds raised will either be spent on securing Madison's future or Nadia's bucket list.
