A PLOT of land in Whitefield will go up for auction next week.

The land, at the corner of Waterdale Drive and Albert Road, will be flogged off to the highest bidder.

Described as "residual land next to a housing development", the plot beside Victoria Park estate is being offered with a freehold guide price of between £1,000 and £2,000

It is one of dozens of lots in the auction being held by Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers on Monday, September 9.

While the auction will take place at Chelmsford City Racecourse, Essex, bidders are invited to participate via telephone.

Auctioneer Paul Bridgeman, past president of the National Association of Valuers & Auctioneers (NAVA), said: “This parcel of freehold land is situated on the edge of a residential development close to the junction of Waterdale Drive and Albert Road in Whitefield, to the north of the M60 at Junction 17 and Manchester city centre.

“Extending to 0.04 hectares (0.09 acres), we consider the land may have the potential for various uses, subject to all the necessary conditions being obtainable".

The independent regional land and property auctioneer say the site has "potential near homes."

Clive Emson Auctioneers hold eight rounds of auctions each year at five locations from Essex to Cornwall on consecutive days.

The auction will be held at11am.
