Generous fundraisers have racked-up more than £2,000 for the East Lancashire Hospice.
Newly weds, Dave and Julia Chippendale, who celebrated their nuptials in June, asked for donations to the hospice, instead of receiving gifts. With help from their friends and family, they managed to raise an amazing £1,631.25.
Meanwhile, 90-year-old Harry Stephenson who lives in Rishton and attends the hospice every Friday, asked for donations instead of receiving presents, when he marked entering his 10th decade.
In total, the spritely pensioner was able to raise £200.
And Carolyn Harrison, along with Michael Harrison and Steve Richard, took part in the Bay Way Walk in memory of her brother-in-law, Michael Johnson.
Together they raised £640 for the hospice.
Ms Harrison said: "We all really enjoyed the bike ride and the weather helped.
"We are hoping to do this annually going forward and thank you to all who have sponsored us."
