FARNWORTH firefighters are gearing up for their annual charity car wash this Saturday.
Motorists are invited to pull into Farnworth Fire Station from 10am to 4pm to have their car washed and raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity.
The charity supports firefighters who have been injured or have suffered in the line of work.
Farnworth Fire Station is one of a number of stations across Greater Manchester hosting a car wash to raise money for the charity — and be in a chance of winning the prestigious Car Wash Trophy.
At the start of the year Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service were named Regional Car Wash Champions for the North-West for the second time, after raising a jaw-dropping £14,307.
But in the second league of the year starting this month the Service is looking to raise more than ever before.
