PRIMARY school children played an important part in the reopening of a village supermarket.
Pupils from Tottington Primary School were on hand to officially launch the reopening of Tottington Co-op following a refurbishment.
The shop and its cashpoint shut on September 10 for the nine-day makeover.
The store was declared open by Year 3/4 class teacher Simon Hunt, Gina Irlam, of Friends of Tottington Primary School, and the student council.
Donna Atherden, team leader at Tottington Co-op, said: "We invited the school to come and celebrate our reopening on September 19 as they are one of the local community causes supported through Co-op membership.
"The shop has an increased range of chilled products as well as an improved fresh bakery and food to go range."
