A NEW hair and beauty venture has arrived to add a little sparkle to Horwich.

And the Bdolled Hair and Beauty Academy, in Chorley New Road, can already boast some star quality.

Because the fledgling salon will be hosting masterclasses from some of the industry’s movers and shakers in the coming weeks.

One of the partners, Rachael Hines, says the new academy is “an exciting opportunity for the community and young students to train in the hair and beauty industry”.

“Our salon offers all kinds of treatments and we are also a celebrity favourite already,” added Rachael, who has established the business with Lauren Davies.

The academy, launched after months of careful planning, recently staged its grand opening, which included cocktails provided by The Bar in Bolton and live music.

Next month the venue will also be hosting an all-star session with Ex on the Beach star Charlotte Dawson.

A freelance make-up artist in her own right Charlotte, the daughter of legendary comedian Les Dawson, who is based in Lytham St Annes, will be sharing her beauty secrets there on November 24.

Promoters say a mystery celebrity guest will also be joining those attending the ticket-only gathering, which is scheduled to take place from 1pm to 4pm.

Bdolled, which is located in the imposing former Mumbai Indian restaurant premises at the corner of Curteis Street in Horwich, has also lined up leading Bury-based nail artist Emily Platt and her Meraki line as a future guest.

For youngsters, the academy is also hosting another attraction, Mini Dolls, where junior guests can enjoy a specially-tailored pampering party with their friends.

Plans are currently in place for the training side of the academy to begin next month and the bosses have already recruited a team of health and beauty professionals across a range of disciplines.

While getting the business on its feet, Bdolled staff have also been keen supporters of both World Mental Health Day and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
