HOUSE prices remained steady in Bradford in August, new figures show.
The lack of movement maintains the longer-term trend, which has seen property prices in the area achieve 0.2% annual growth .
The average Bradford house price in August was £139,364, Land Registry figures show .
Over the month, the picture was similar to that across Yorkshire and The Humber, where prices increased 0.2% , and Bradford underperformed compared to the 0.8% rise for the UK as a whole. Over the last year, the average sale price of property in Bradford rose by £300 – putting the area 16th among Yorkshire and The Humber’s 21 local authorities for annual growth.
The best annual growth in the region was in Selby, where properties increased on average by 4.7%, to £204,000. At the other end of the scale, properties in Barnsley dropped 1.8% in value.
