A man had to be cut from a car and three people were taken to hospital following a crash.
At around 6pm on Friday, a van that was travelling from Rishton towards the Whitebirk roundabout crashed into a Ford Fiesta that was pulling out of a junction.
Fire crews were called to the scene of the crash on Blackburn Road and on arrival found the driver of the Fiesta was trapped inside the car.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "It looked like the van had gone into the drivers side of the Fiesta, trapping the man inside.
"We cut the roof off the car to get the man out, and he was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with minor injuries.
"The two people in the van - a man and a woman - were also taken to hospital with minor injuries."
