A SUPERMARKET worker was left terrified after being targeted with an 'unprovoked barrage of abuse' in the Asda where she was working at the time.
Police were called to Asda in Radcliffe to reports that a member of staff was being assaulted and abused on Tuesday October 15, at around 5pm.
The woman, in her 40s, was pushed and threatened with violence while going about her daily tasks, according to police.
Greater Manchester Police has now released an image of a man they want to speak to following the assault. Police have also appealed for any information people may have around the incident.
Police Constable David Green, of GMP’s Bury division, said: “This was an unprovoked barrage of abuse and violence towards a member of staff who was going about her daily business and it is completely unacceptable.
“This assault took place in front of many potential witnesses who were shopping at the time, so I would urge anyone with any information – no matter how insignificant it may seem - to please get in touch as soon as possible.”
Anyone who has any information about this assault should call police on 0161 856 8204 quoting incident number 2273 of 15/10/2019.
Details can also be passed on anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
