Greater Manchester Police have shown off their newest recruits- an adorable litter of puppies.

The cute new additions to the force were fathered by Police Dog Mati, who now has four male and five female bundles of joy to care for.

Police Dog Mati is handled by PC Nish, a GMP officer.

The puppies will eventually take part in a training regime, as they prepare to join their dad in the force's ranks.

Writing on Facebook, Greater Manchester Police said: "Meet 'paws'-ibly the cutest new additions to the Greater Manchester Police Dog Unit.

"This litter has four male and five female pups.

"PD Mati fathered the litter and still retains puppy-like enthusiasm and energy as he plays with his handler PC Nish. #Pupdate."
