VANDALS smashed the windows of cars and houses during a crime spree throughout west Warrington.

Residents reported a huge number of incidents in Chapelford, Hood Manor, Westbrook and Old Hall between 8.30pm and 10pm on Sunday, November 10.

A number of streets in Chapelford – including Missouri Drive, Jefferson Drive, Dallas Drive and Burtonwood Road, as well as Dorchester Road and Lindsworth Close in Hood Manor – were reportedly affected, with a number of bus stops also targeted.

The nearby Peace Centre was also vandalised by three youths, who caused thousands of pounds worth of damage when they smashed a window shortly after 9.30pm.

Cheshire Police have confirmed that they received reports of four vehicles being damaged on the evening in question – on Dorchester Road and Westbrook Crescent, as well as two cars on Jefferson Drive.
