A VILLAGE has been submerged in water following heavy downpours last night and into the morning.
Residents in Wendlebury, near Bicester, which has been issued a flood warning, are advised to remove family, pets and valuables to safety and to avoid contact with flood water.
River levels have risen on the Wendlebury Brook and the main road through the village, Wendlebury Road, is completely flooded.
A member of staff at the Lion Wendlebury pub, said the road 'looks like a river'.

The situation is being closely monitored and flood incident response staff will be out in the area later.
Wendlebury Parish Council announced on Facebook that Wendlebury Road is closed.
The County Emergency Planning Team has arranged for Highways to deliver more sandbags to the pub.
There are 26 flood alerts in force in Oxfordshire.
