A WOMAN had to be freed from her car following a two-vehicle crash.
Crews from Bury Fire Station were called to the incident in Hornby Street at about 5.45pm yesterday.
The female driver of one of the vehicles suffered injuries to her lower back and, as a precautionary measure, was freed from the car by firefighters, who used a spinal board.
A firefighter told the Bury Times: "We were called to a person trapped.
"A woman required fire service assistance.
"She was conscious and breathing."
