A SHOPLIFTER who stole candles and clothing has been given a suspended prison sentence by Bolton magistrates.
Sean Warburton, aged 31, of Watersmead Close, Bolton, pleaded guilty to stealing candles, worth £24, from the Card Factory on June 17.
He also admitted the theft of clothing, worth £360, on several occasions in June, from Matalan.
Warburton was sentenced to 10 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, must continue treatment for drug addiction and pay £115 in compensation to the stores.
