AN off licence which has recently closed is set to be turned into a cafe.
The owner of the former C&M Off Licence in Chorley New Road has been granted planning permission to convert the Horwich shop into a cafe.
Town hall planners said that the proposal would not harm the character and appearance of the area.
Planning agent Sohail Musa said the business had been struggling to compete with the neighbouring Co-op supermarket.
The Co-op invested £550,000 into the Chorley New Road store which opened in 2015.
