A DISGRUNTLED former take-away worker twice damaged his ex-boss's tyres in revenge.

Bolton Magistrates' Court heard that, between July 22 and October 28 last year 28-year-old Ismaeil Alkhalil targeted a VW Passat outside Farzad Amiri's Drake Hall, Westhoughton, home.

Tess Kenyon, prosecuting, told the court how, in 2016, Alkhalil was employed by Mr Amiri at his pizza take-away in Atherton.

"There were arguments between the parties. As a result of the arguing Mr Amiri sacked Mr Alkhalil from his employment and thereafter, there appears to be bad blood between them," she said.

"There have been other issues reported to the police but none of them have ever been charged."

In a victim impact statement, Mr Amiri said the vandalism has left him feeling "stressed and harassed."

He added: "I don't know where it will lead to or what he will do next and how far he is capable of going.

"I just want my life back to normal and for Mr Alkhalil to leave me and my family alone."

Alkhalil, now of Ingrow Road, Liverpool, pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to Mr Amiri's car.

Kimberley Morton, defending, said: "He accepts that he damaged the complainant's tyres and his vehicle on two occasions. We believe he damaged five or six tyres."

She added that there have been no further incidents for more than a year and Alkhalil, who works as an IT problem solver for Amazon, helps to support his 17-year-old brother, who lives with him.

Magistrates sentenced Alkhalil to a conditional discharge for 12 months plus £85 towards prosecution costs and ordered him to pay his victim £360 in compensation.
