VISITORS to Preeshenlle United Reformed Church in Gobowen were in for a treat on Saturday.

The annual Christmas Fair had an array of craft stalls, games for the kids and carol singing to keep averybody in good voice.

And to top it all, there were turkey baps, soup and mulled wine on offer to keep the winter chills at bay.

Organiser Brenda Cassidy said: "We've got the school choir coming along later and there will also be some carols in the week in the Scout hut.

"It's all the usual goings-on for the Christmas Fair and it helps to get everybody together at this time of year and raise funds for the church."

The Rev Chris Burgham found time to chat to many of the visitors and found himself a useful vantage point at the popcorn stall.

And a crafts and games room at the back of the church was put to good use in occupying the children – at least for a short while!
