A MURDER investigation into the death of a man has been closed after police said they are no longer treating the death as suspicious.

The probe was launched after a man died at a property in Warwick Street, Prestwich, on January 25, 2019.

At the time a 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder but was later released with no further action.

Greater Manchester Police have now said that there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and have ended their investigations.

A file will now be passed onto the coroner, the police added.
