THE owner of a bed business is thinking about an expansion on its first anniversary.

Doyle’s Beds is based in Sankey Bridges and has turned over £500,000 in its first year.

Owner Keith Doyle is now aiming to increase that to £750,000 this year and has his eyes on a second base in the town.

Mr Doyle, from Liverpool, has been delighted with how the past year has progressed.

“It is going very well,” he said.

“My family have showrooms in Liverpool so I was looking for somewhere to open and Warrington was the perfect location.

“It is a big town with a lot of people and that is why we are thinking of a second showroom.

“I think what makes us standout is our service. If people want a bed delivering a 10pm, we will deliver it at 10pm.

“If they want a certain colour, we can get it. Whatever they want, we can supply.

“And I think that personal touch is really important.

Mr Doyle hit the headlines last year when he was threatened with legal action from the council over his illegal adverts posted across the borough.

And he has reiterated his message to Town Hall bosses.

He added: “I would like to sit down and sort something out.

“We would like to advertise on roundabouts for example but not at those prices. There are lots of empty places to advertise if the council will help out.”

The business is currently recruiting with Keith looking for people with previous experience in the bed sector.
