SHOTS were fired at a house and a car yesterday evening, Wednesday.

Police received a call from the fire service at around 7.55pm that crews had found bullet holes in a car that had been ablaze on Henry Street in Leigh.

When officers arrived they discovered shots had been fired at the car as well as the upstairs and downstairs windows of a house.

The house occupants were not in at the time of the incident.

No injuries were caused and no arrests have been made.

A cordon was set up at the scene.

One fire engine had been called to put the fire out at around 7.45pm where a hose reel was used to extinguish the flames.

Firefighters were in attendance for 20 minutes before handing the incident over to the police.
