A BUNGALOW in a Bury cul-de-sac can go ahead with its new front porch and dormer extension, councillors have ruled.

The new front porch at the semi-detached property will be 2 metres deep and 3.3 metres across.

The application would normally be dealt with by town hall officers but it was presented to the planning committee because the Westbury Close resident is related to council staff.

Council officers recommended that councillors allow the development to go ahead.

The committee approved the proposal on Tuesday.
