GOLD medal-winning martial artist and Olympian Lutalo Muhammad dropped by a Bury primary school to give them a bumper sports prize.
Hazlehurst Community Primary School in Ramsbottom scooped £20,000 to spend on sports equipment thanks to supermarket Aldi’s Kit for Schools campaign.
The prize money will now be put to use to fund an all-weather Daily Mile track, permanent basketball hoops and a traverse wall around the outside of the school.
The campaign also works to encourage youngsters to get healthy by eating well and enjoying exercise.
James Perkin, deputy headteacher at Hazlehurst, said: “We hope it will inspire the children and, who knows, we may even discover a future Olympian of our own.”
