A HEADLINE sponsor has been confirmed for the Made in Bury business fair.

Bury Council has been signed up for the March 5 gathering at Stables Country Club.

Just as the borough celebrates its Town of Culture status for Greater Manchester, the authority is already behind a packed programme of arts and leisure events.

A Made in Bury spokesman said: "Each year exhibitors return to the Business Fair due to their successful generation of new sales and customers.

"It also welcomes many new exhibitors which provides a fantastic range of businesses from across the north west creating a unique networking experience with around 400 attendees. There are already 60 exhibitors confirmed."

Meanwhile the fair's organisers have also confirmed they have secured backing for one of the highlights of their social calendar.

Surestore, the self-storage business based in Pilsworth Road, is the principal supporter of the Made in Bury Annual Bowling Tournament. The company is also currently offering 50 per cent off for customers for the first eight weeks.

This is scheduled to take place at Hollywood Bowl in Bury, at The Rock, next Tuesday, from 7pm, with 23 teams set to battle it out on the lanes.

A spokesman added: "This fun networking event is a great way to connect with businesses and individuals with a bit of healthy competition thrown into the mix. Last year’s winners were Copy Print Services."
