Traffic is being held on the M621 westbound carriageway heading towards junction 27 (Gildersome) of the M62.
TRAFFIC was held on a major motorway for almost an hour after a vehicle fire and spillage.
The incident happened at around 2.40pm on the westbound carriageway of the M621, heading towards junction 27 (Gildersome) to get onto the M62.
Vehicles on this stretch of motorway were being held temporarily and were stationary.
Congestion was queueing back to junction 2 of the M621, near Elland Road.
The carriageway was being cleaned up, which meant it had to be closed for almost an hour.
At 3.35pm, all lanes re-opened.
