YOUNGSTER Julian Bennett certainly made a big impression with judges when he mimicked the likes of Frank Spencer and Eddie Waring in 1979.
But then all Bennett family left a lasting reminder of their fortnight’s stay at the Blue Waters Holiday Village in Seaton, Devon.
Dad Jack earned a week’s free holiday as winning of the senior talent competition, 14-year-old Debbie won the junior Miss Blue Waters Title and Julian scored a hit in the junior talent contest. Mum Kathleen Bennett kept her fingers crossed for all the family who live on Higher Croft Road, Blackburn.
Next week, the Bennetts who run a grocer’s shop and off-licence in Albert Place, Lower Darwen, will be cheering Julian on in the nationwide finals. But to enable Julian to take his chance to stage stardom his father had to forego his appearance in the senior talent final.
