A MAN has been taken to hospital after a fight broke out in a garden in Tottington.
Shortly before 8.50pm last night a gang of vandals set fire to an allotment in Scobell Street before being chased off by an 18-year-old man.
A fight then broke out in the front garden of a nearby property after which the offenders fled the scene.
Emergency services were quickly called to Bury Road and eyewitnesses reported seeing around eight police cars and vans.
The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) confirmed two rapid response vehicles and an ambulance were also sent to the scene.
The NWAS spokesman added: "We were called to a private address in Bury Road and a patient was taken to hospital."
Greater Manchester Police were unable to confirm if any arrests have yet been made but said enquiries are ongoing.
