A PARENT and child from a Bury high school have self-isolated over coronavirus fears.
A spokesman for Tottington High School confirmed that the parent and child had take action to follow health official's guidance after showing symptoms of an as yet "undiagnosed condition".
However, Tottington High School remains open today.
School bosses are now seeking to reassure parents that "all Government advice issued to schools by Public Health England is being followed".
In a statement, the spokesman for the school said: "We have one parent who is currently self-isolating herself and her child for an undiagnosed condition, in line with NHS advice.
"To clarify, it has not been confirmed that this is due to coronavirus and all necessary precautions are being taken to ensure the wellbeing of our students, staff and parents."
