THE beer gardens across the country may be closed and with the sun shining, it can leave many of us feeling a little glum.

However, Bury Beer Festival has provided a public service for those who want a tipple or two- it has compiled a list of local home deliverers.

Festival organisers tweeted the list of Bury-based businesses and services who are able to deliver alcohol during the pandemic lockdown.

They said: "Trying to compile which of our excellent local brewers are available for home delivery to the Bury area during the shutdown.

"There are lots of great national and Manchester delivery services but we want to keep it local. We'll thread what we hear below, let us know what we miss."

It says Kwoff Wine- which sells more than 600 wines, does "sterling work" and also offers up free delivery.

Rivington Brewing Co. and Red Bank Cider are also doing regular home deliveries, as are Bolton-based Northern Monkey Brew Co.

Radcliffe-based Brightside Brewing are available through food and drink wholesalers the WDS Group- with the beer fest jokingly adding "it seems sensible to get things like fresh fruit and veg delivered while getting the beers in, I guess."
