The video features the library’s oldest book — Historia Scholastica —in the collection, dating back to 1473.
Bolton libraries have been collecting rare books since 1853, when the library first opened.
Bolton Central Library often holds special lunchtime talks about its rare book collection.
However, as all libraries are closed, people can go online to have a look at the fascinating collection.
Some rare books were donated by local collectors, a “testament to the wealth and intellectual curiosity of Boltonians through the ages.
