AN inquest has opened following the coronavirus death of a woman in Radcliffe.
In November 2019, Margaret Waddington, 85, suffered a fall at her home, before falling again in February.
Following the second trip she required surgery for a hip replacement, which was followed up with a partial hip-replacement.
She contracted covid-19 following treatment and was placed on end of life care, where she died on Wednesday, April 15.
Born in Salford, Mrs Waddington was a widowed former market stall worker.
Coroner Catherine McKenna formally opened the inquest, to be taken place at a later date.
