There were no more confirmed deaths from coronavirus in Bolton over the weekend, according to the latest figures released by NHS England.

However, the number of confirmed cases in the town raised by seven, taking the overall number of confirmed cases in Bolton to 999.

The number of deaths at Royal Bolton Hospital remains at 205.

NHS England announced 59 new hospital deaths in England, with seven in Wales, three in Scotland and eight in Northern Ireland — a total of 77 across the UK - the lowest since lockdown began.

This brings the total cases across England up to 25,750, although NHS England admits this could be more as their notification system was down for a lot of Sunday.

These figures are released daily for hospitals in England, often adding in previously unaccounted for deaths that could have taken place days or weeks before.

The latest figures are in stark difference to nearly two months ago, on April 8, when the amount of confirmed deaths was 891.

11 is the highest deaths Bolton suffered on a single day on April 5.
