CHEFS from Ramsbottom have seen their Bake-Off: The Professions journey come to an end.
But Andrew Robinshaw and Ian McDonald from The Lounge, in Prince Street, can be justifiably proud of their efforts.
The Prince Street pair just missed out on qualification from the heats of the Channel 4 show, after being faced with a chocolate and matcha secret recipe round and firework showpiece.
Andrew and Ian didn't dazzle judges Cherish Finden and Benoit Blint with their dark chocolate and matcha sponge.
And things were looking up with their chocolate showpiece - with a golden lion spitting fire - before the edifice crumbled and the duo were sent home.
Later Andrew said he had been "waiting for the hammer to fall" after being in the bottom two on the last episode, but he had thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Ian added: "It's been a hell of a ride for us - we have pushed ourselves above and beyond what we would normally do".
